-Olympus-

When the ground is falling

Beneath my feet

Would you come down and rescue me

Oh Lord I’m sorry, I’m struggling

This time I don’t know what to believe

I want the real thing

I want the real thing

On Mount Olympus I played with fire

We all pretend we’re God for a while

Am I in your family or on a team?

With a man or a church between you and me

I want the real thing

I want the real thing

Put your grace upon my eyes

Place your mercy on my tongue

When my culture swirls like water

Be the rock I’m standing on

I had my sword out in the garden

When you healed the man I struck

Oh my Jesus, would you teach

My clumsy heart that kind of love

Psalm 51:16-17

For You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;

You take no pleasure in burnt offerings.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;

A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
